Unilab Hosts Youth Camp for Change

Unilab holds its first ever idea generation camp and competition for college students.

With promoting the Bayanihan Spirit among the youth as its goal, Unilab holds Ideas Positive: The Unilab Youth Camp for Change. College students are challenged to come up with fresh and innovative ideas that would effect positive change in their chosen communities. The students’ social marketing ideas should focus on promoting health and wellness.

Fast Facts

  • The Unilab Youth Camp for Change was held last September 23 to 25. Workshops were held during the first two days of the Clinic, and the idea generation contest finals on the third.
  • Workshop tasks were led by Francis Kong, Mark Ruiz, Bam Aquino, Mari Oquinena, Alex Lacson, and Peachy Pacquing.
  • Five finalists were chosen from the 21 entries – “Mamamayang Ayaw sa Dengue” from UST, “Sa Unilab, Bubuti Ka” from De La Salle University Dasmarinas, “Buklod-Bukid: Sowing Nutrition, Reaping Hope” from UA&P, “Adopt a PET” from UP Diliman, and “May Papel Ako” from UP Diliman.
  • The winning team gets the P100,000 seed money prize from Unilab to execute their proposal. They also win a three-day, two-night group vacation package to Boracay.
  • First prize went to UA&P. Teams from UP Diliman and UST became runner-ups.
